Over the years Lesley has successfully developed the International Division; working closely with her team of experienced recruitment consultants, they have established the business across Europe, India, Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, making DW Simpson the world’s largest specialist actuarial recruitment company.

Lesley has over 20 years experience in the Insurance industry entering the financial services market in the early 1980's, working for a major Life Insurance company in the UK. She carried out a variety of roles initially in Life Insurance sales then moved into management. Her career at the 'sharp end' of Life and Pensions sales continued until the early 1990's when she made a career change into Executive recruitment across the Insurance market, soon after focusing on the interesting market niche of Actuarial recruitment.

Developing a real desire to understand this fascinating sector Lesley has immersed herself into the profession at every opportunity. Devoting many volunteer hours to the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, Lesley has been a member of communications task force and is currently convenor of the IAA 2011 Bi-annual convention, where she has made a significant contribution to professional development programs for Actuaries.

Lesley has also become a familiar face at Actuarial conferences and seminars around the world presenting papers across a range of topics including; “Creating an Actuarial Profession in the Middle East”, “So, How Many Actuaries Does India Need” and “Recruiting in a Market Downturn”

Lesley holds a degree in Business Studies from London Guildhall University, post-graduate qualifications in Human Resources and has completed a Master's degree in Asian Studies from the University of New South Wales, Australia, where her specialization was the insurance markets of India and China.
